“I will never hurt you,” Ling breathed while looking lovingly at the small lump of bones and blonde hair that lay motionless beside him on the dingy hotel bed.
The lump laughed in response, and turned its head just a little, so yellow eyes met black. “Really?” Edward questioned, “Remember how we met?” A mischievous smirk played on his good features, when the alchemist saw the Prince pout.
“That doesn’t count,” Ling stated. “We were not lovers then. I hardly knew you…”
“You also hardly knew me the first time we screwed,” Ed pointed out.
Ling looked at him for a moment and then a soft chuckle left his own lips. “You make a valid point, Edward,” he said, leaning forward and placing a chaste kiss on Ed’s forehead. Then, moving his lips close to Edward’s ear, his breath tickling a few stray strands of blonde hair, “But that was then, this is now, Edward. I would never hurt you, not now… Not ever.”
Ed sighed, “Yeah, yeah…” Ling began to stroke the skin next to the automail ports, and Edward allowed it to lure him into a secure kind of sleep. The Prince’s promise safely stashed away to the back of his mind.
Because, at the time… he believed it.
Short and... well, not sweet but whateva! XD
